Be sure to check out our Green Pea Growing Guide for more tips & tricks on successfully growing green peas in your garden.

Super Sugar Snap is a great variety for eating fresh or canning. The immature pods are a great addition to your favorite stir-fry. Sautee with broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots for a healthy, delicious dish. You can also use the immature pods as a crunchy addition to any salad. Allow the pods to fill completely for large, delicious sweet peas. The mature peas are great for raw consumption in dips and salads. English Peas can also be blanched and frozen to preserve the harvest.

We recommend planting Super Sugar Snap Pea using a walk-behind planter like our Hoss Garden Seeder. We recommend installing the trellis before planting. Super Sugar Snap Peas perform very well when planted on double rows, with one row on each side of the trellis. This will allow you to maximize garden space, maximize the trellis, and produce more vegetables per square foot of the garden. Super Sugar Snap Pea should be harvested when pods reach about 3-4″ in length and are full and plump.

The Best Snap Peas I've Ever Tasted!

I'm growing 7 of these indoors under an LED grow light on a teepee trellis made from bamboo poles which I stuck into two pots. I love that I have no bugs or disease to worry about like I would if growing them outside. They're now almost as tall as I am (5 ft. 3 inches) and are fruiting in the dead of Winter! I tasted the fist pod yesterday and it blows all other snap peas I've had out of the water. It was as sweet as candy and nice and plump! I only wish I had the space to grow 50 of these plants so I would have a bucket-full of these to eat right now! Now that I have picked a few it looks like production is speeding up, so maybe I will end up with a large harvest after all!

The one drawback is that they seem to be shorter than most varieties.

In the Spring maybe I will grow more of these outside since I have more space in the ground. I absolutely love them!

Don't pass these up! Highly recommended!

Great service, great product, fantastic company.

I’ve yet to buy seeds or sets from Hoss that let me down. The package may say 90% germination rate, but it’s more like 99%.and that’s on everything I’ve ever purchased from them. EVERYTHING. Just an example, I loan a few rows of garden space to my neighbor for a few fall items. This season he wanted turnip greens and handed me a sandwich bag 1/4 of the way filled with purple top turnip seeds he purchased from a farm supply in Glenwood, AR. I sowed his seeds in a large patch the same time I sowed my Hoss seeds. Mine were germinated in 3-4 days and his finally started germinating over a week later. In my photo I’m adding his seeds are the large patch. The other 3 rows are mustard (beside large patch), all top turnip (middle), and purple top turnip on the last. This photo was taken at 29 days from seeding. Needless to say, Hoss seeds are bar none the best seeds I’ve ever purchased. I switched to Hoss about 5 years ago and haven’t even looked back. Just as my title states. I’ve not been disappointed.
