Hossinator Bell Pepper Plugs

Peppers are in the nightshade family along with tomatoes and eggplant. Plants in the nightshade family are susceptible to blossom end rot, which is a result of a calcium deficiency. To prevent or alleviate this problem, apply pelleted gypsum at the base of the plant at bloom set. We recommend using the Florida Weave trellising technique that involves using stakes and twine along the row. This ensures that plants and fruits stay off the ground, reducing the possibility of disease and keeping fruits clean.

*Note - limited quantity available each week, plugs will be shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays* If you are ordering Seeds and/or tools with your plugs, please note that they will all ship out together the following Monday or Tuesday with your plugs.

Hoss will conduct a full assessment of plants before they are shipped to ensure healthy plants are shipped to you. We recommend transplanting your plugs the same day you receive them or the next day. It is the customer's responsibility to assess their own weather conditions and planting times prior to ordering, please do not order if it's too early. If plants, upon arrival, are found to be in questionable health, please email pictures to Customer Support at support@growhoss.com within 24 hours of receiving your order and we will promptly review your concerns and submission. If your plants are not watered or planted in a timely manner, they may not survive.

Growing in Colorado

I received the plugs in March. Living in Southern Colorado, the "rule" is no outdoor planting until Mother's Day. This is due to weather swings - 55 degrees one day and 10 the next with snow. I kept the plugs in our greenhouse until mid-May and then planted them in our raised garden. They are adapting to the weather (80s with a couple 65's this past weekend) and 100s this week but they starting to grow quickly. Looking forward to a bountiful harvest.

Healthy Bell Peppers

Planted my bell pepper plants immediately upon arrival and they're thriving and looking good. Can wait until I can harvest them. I'll be thrilled if they taste anything like last years bell peppers from Hoss, they were delicious.

Superb here in zone 7a

I've grown Brpp peppers since I was 5 with my Dad. I'm 72 now and have gardened 66 years. I grew up in the Tomato Capital of the world. The Hossinator Bell Pepper and Tomato are off the charts great.
