Gold Mine Bean is an open-pollinated, wax bean variety that provides the most consistent and uniform yields of any golden wax bean variety. This is a widely-adapted variety that performs well in all growing regions. The plants are compact and have an upright growth habit for cleaner harvests. The beans also grow in concentrated clusters for quick and easy harvesting. Gold Mine Beans have a medium-yellow color and are best picked around 5-5.5" long. The color is consistent along the entire length of the pod, which has a crisp and exceptionally sweet flavor. They can be eaten raw on a fresh salad or cooked like a traditional snap bean.
