Description
Bayonet Bell Pepper is a hybrid pepper variety with high yields of uniform, consistently-sized peppers. This variety has an excellent disease package that includes resistance to tobacco mosaic virus and tomato spotted wilt virus. Fruits are thick-walled, blocky, and average 3 1/2" tall by 3 1/2" wide. Bayonet Bell Pepper was developed for tight-packing into shipping boxes due to its consistent, square shape. Plants produce bountiful yields throughout the entire growing season and exhibit relative cold-tolerance during cool periods. It also has a tight leaf canopy which prevents fruits from getting damaged with sunburn. Fruits begin green and mature to red when left on the plant.
