Red Snapper Tomato is a hybrid, determinate tomato variety with consistent fruit set in warmer conditions. It has an excellent disease-resistance package including resistance to Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus and Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus. Red Snapper produces large to extra-large, round fruits. Fruits are deep red with a delicious flavor. Red Snapper Tomato is an extremely productive variety with a bush-growing habit. It is a versatile variety that can be harvested as mature-green tomatoes or vine-ripe tomatoes. Fruits have a remarkable shelf-life once harvested which makes this a great variety for the backyard gardener or small-scale market farmer. Plants benefit from pruning early.

Red Snapper Tomato Plugs

Tomatoes are in the nightshade family along with peppers and eggplant. Plants in the nightshade family are susceptible to blossom end rot, which is a result of a calcium deficiency. To prevent or alleviate this problem, apply pelleted gypsum at the base of the plant at the bloom set.

*Note - limited quantity available each week, plugs will be shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays* If you are ordering Seeds and/or tools with your plugs, please note that they will all ship out together the following Monday or Tuesday with your plugs.

Hoss will conduct a full assessment of plants before they are shipped to ensure healthy plants are shipped to you. We recommend transplanting your plugs the same day you receive them or the next day. It is the customer's responsibility to assess their own weather conditions and planting times prior to ordering, please do not order if it's too early. If plants, upon arrival, are found to be in questionable health, please email pictures to Customer Support at custserv@hosstools.com within 24 hours of receiving your order and we will promptly review your concerns and submission. Strong healthy plants

These were delivered to me in excellent condition. All of them have survived planting and really taken off. I already have blossoms and I am watching the videos. Looking forward to some great tomato sandwiches.

I was not expecting the plants to be so healthy after being shipped but they looked very good and showed little signs of stress. I planted them and they are beautiful tomato plants. I highly recommend these plants.

Growing quickly

I usually grow my tomatoes inside a screened hoophouse due to all of the bugs here in Florida. It helps tremendously! A tree fell on it last year and we just got it repaired and ready to go again but we're late for planting by seed. Since I had already ordered red snapper seed I thought that I would purchase the plugs and go from there... Every single one of these plugs is doing well they are actually at this point about 30 days in and easily 3 feet tall, all are blooming. I have no doubt that they will produce beautiful tomatoes.

Red snapper plugs

Great plants, quick delivery, even sent a couple extra just in case. I appreciate that because I plant in rows of 10 and it’s nice to have a couple extra in case one doesn’t recover from transplant shock
