If you're looking for the highest-yielding sweet potato variety, you've found it in Beauregard. It was developed by Louisiana State University in the late 80s. Beauregard is the easiest variety to grow, a good choice for any first-timers that are planting sweet potatoes. A favorite variety for making pies and baking. Sweet potato slips are resilient, if you see yellowing don't fret, plant them and they will grow! It is important to know that you will be receiving bare-root slips. Sweet potato slips are very hardy plants. Make sure you keep the stems and leaves dry if you are delaying your planting after receiving them, wrapping the root end of your slips with a moist paper towel will be extremely beneficial. Be sure to keep them out of direct sunlight and wind, and keep them upright and at room temperature. Don't have enough space to plant in-ground, try growing in a 45-gallon or 100-gallon Root Pouch Grow Bag!

Lost some but the rest are doing well

I can't explain why some did fine and others died. I have tall (2') raised beds with good soil and watering practices, no wildlife (my dogs keep everything away!), weather was cooperative, & we're experienced gardeners. All the slips looked good on arrival & we planted immediately. I just wish more of these had survived. I had to supplement them with slips I grew myself.

Great product

We got our slips very quickly. Followed instructions until we could get them in the ground. All are looking great and can’t wait to see the end results.
