In 2024, I bought a pound of seed and planted 1/2 of it. Poor growing season as it was dry. Made enough to save some seed, about 10 gallons, and planted in February 2025. Made around 125 bushels of shelled grain per acre. I have started a small business of selling the super fine meal and grits. Have 25 gallons of seed for next year. I use drip tape in the soft middles and constantly add 28-0-0-5 to the irrigation. Hoping to top 200 bushels in 2026. Hoss tools has always sold me great seed. Oh a pleasant surprise, the corn seed is saved will throw a white ears that has purple grains. Hopefully it will stay true and I can add to my product line.
