Description
Morris Heading Collard is an open-pollinated, heirloom collard variety that produces tender, blue-green leaves on loose heads. Also known as "cabbage collards," this variety works well as a single-cut collard variety. Leaves can also be cropped for continual production throughout the growing season. Morris Heading Collard is heat-tolerant and slow to bolt in the spring and early summer when temperatures warm. It is also very cold tolerant and will grow throughout the winter in most zones. This variety can be prepared many different ways, including boiled, steamed or stir-fried.
