Makes garden weed control doable

A well built tool that works close to walking speed when weeds are small, and not deeply rooted. If you walk each row every few days, with your Hoss, you can keep between row weeds at bay. The tools are easily changed or spacing adjusted with a single wrench, so bring the wrench for quick in row changes, while building your experience. Try different tools and settings.
Its quiet work. No engine. No aching shoulders or wrists if you set the handles right for you. BRING THE WRENCH! Im 6 ft 2. No stooping!
Different soil moisture levels favor some tools. Its a learning process to find what works best in your soil.
I like the sweeps best, followed by the cultivator teeth, but find the teeth work better in drier or harder soils. The oscillating hoes need dryish loose soil, as do the winged sweeps, but I feel more comfortable working closer to the row with them. Not sure why.
Its great doing both sides of the row in one pass, but straight/ consistent planted rows are key so you can cultivate looking ahead in the row and not steering left and right around off line plants 4 feet ahead of you. You can do it, but its slow going.
Ive straddled onions, corn, beets, radishes, turnips, bush beans, and young pole beans in my first season, and Ive learned things to make next season better. You need to mark your rows, so you can straddle your seeds before they sprout to stay ahead of weeds. Orange paracord is very high vis, and reusable next year, but you need to remove it as soon as your sprouts are up. I'm considering changing cucumbers, squash and pumpkins to rows instead of multi seed hills as straddle weeding is easier/ faster than hoeing around 19 hills 5 feet apart when seeds are sprouting. Maybe I will do a trial run, one planting in a row, hills on the other....
PS. I use a cpmpact tractor mounted S tine cultivator or my roto tiller for the area between the rows, outside the coverage of the Hoss implements, to protect my plants from " operator error". I thought I could use the spreader bar, to add tools between the two sides of the High Arch, but that didnt work.

Arched wheel deal is a value

I purchased the arched two wheel hoe in the wheel deal for the added savings. I am happy I did because as soon as you start using this wheel hoe you will want all of the attachments. The machine is built to last and I have used all of the different attachments and they all work quite well. This makes gardening efficient, productive and fun.
