How to Collect Your Soil Sample
- Open your box and take out the contents. This will include a collection bag, a soil collection device, an instruction card with your soil test number and a return label.
- On your soil collection bag, be sure to write your name and address on the assigned lines.
- Take a clean bucket, metal or stainless steel, and collect 10-20 samples from various areas in your garden.
- Mix all the samples together, be sure that it is well mixed to create a uniform mixture.
- Fill your labeled collection bag to the line.
- Place your soil sample back into the original box it came into and tape the box shut.
- Place your bagged soil into the box, make sure it is sealed before putting it in your mailbox. Keep this card for your records with your bag ID #. (Please mail your soil no later than 2 weeks after receiving kit.)
- Register your soil sample # with the form above. You will receive your results to your registered email within 2 weeks.
