Growing Information

Sweetie Pie Blackberry thrives in USDA Zones 6–10 and is cold hardy down to −10°F. It performs best in rich, well-drained, acidic soil with a pH of 4.5–5.5, and appreciates consistent, moderate moisture—mulching is recommended to retain soil hydration. This deciduous plant grows to a manageable 4–6 feet tall and wide, and should be spaced 4–6 feet apart. Sweetie Pie loves full sun, though it will tolerate partial shade, and is especially well-suited for containers and raised beds. With proper care, it produces an abundance of berries and vibrant spring blooms that attract pollinators and boost biodiversity in your garden.
