Description

Our Raised Bed Irrigation Kit contains everything you need to water your raised bed gardens in the most effective and environmentally friendly way. Drip irrigation allows you to use less water while watering more effectively. This is because you are only placing water directly where your plants need it - at the roots. Because you're not watering the leaves, disease pressure and pest pressure will be greatly reduced. This kit will support 8 (4 ft. by 8 ft.) raised beds with 4 feet between them.

You will also have much fewer weeds between rows in your vegetable garden. With overhead watering, many areas of your are unnecessarily watered, which results in watering weed Seeds and germinating weeds that you don't want to grow. However, with drip irrigation, you only place water underneath or beside the plants and you don't water those spaces between rows.

The Raised Bed Irrigation Kit also makes it really easy to fertilize your garden while you water it, saving you time and energy. By installing a Fertilizer Injector between the spigot and your irrigation system, you can easily inject water-soluble fertilizer into your watering system so that you feed your vegetable plants while you water them.

Raised Bed Irrigation Kit Includes:

2- 100 ft. roll 1/4 tubing with emitters

1 - 20 PSI Filter Regulator Combo

1 - Figure 8 End Clamp

1 - Green Hole Punch

20 - Goof Plugs

10-transfer barbs

2 - 50 ft. 1/4" tubing

40 - 1/4" elbows

10 - 1/4" flow valve

10 - 1/4" tees

1 -30ft mainline tubing

100 - Tubing Stakes

10 - Garden Wire Pins

Kit Requirements:

Water hose – connects to a 3/4″ water hose or 3/4″ spigot.

Pressure – PSI should be below 50 psi and 8 gallons per minute. Requires a flow rate between 0.4 to 8 gallons per minute. To calculate your flow rate, simply record the time (in minutes that it takes to fill a 5-gallon bucket with water. Then divide 5 by the time above to obtain your gallon-per-minute rate. For example, if it takes 30 seconds (0.5 minutes) to fill a 5-gallon bucket, your flow rate is 10 gallons per minute because:

5 gal / 0.5 min = 10 gal/min

Row length – Our tubing can be used on a maximum row length of 30 ft. at 20 psi. We don’t recommend using rows longer than 30 feet. If rows are too long, water will not be equally distributed throughout the tubing along the row.

Row number – With a flow rate of 5 gallons per minute, our tubing can support 300 feet of tubing. That’s the equivalent of 30 rows that are 10 feet long. To calculate how much tubing your system can support, first calculate your flow rate based on the example above. For example, if your flow rate is 8 gallons per minute, the maximum length of tape your system can support is 480 feet. The flow rate on the tubing is 0.5 gallons per emitter per hour. The emitter spacing is 6". Flow rate per foot/1 gallon per hour.

Irrigation kit

I like the Hoss company a lot. They sell things that I would never know about. This kit is fine except that the black plastic hose is a pain in the butt to connect, and I'm a lifetime diesel truck mechanic with strong fingers. I live in L.A. so it's not exactly freezing here, there is other softer tubing available. Anyway, , ,get out there and grow stuff. My best to all, , , ,

Great solution!

I finally installed my kit; I did have to get more connectors at my local store, but otherwise, the kit has everything I need. It works great and solved a very big problem - time - I love it!!!

So easy to set up

I built this system for my In Law's. It was and simple to set up. I've used drip in my in ground for at least 4-5 seasons, with the same main line. The only thing I wish is, if more T connections were provided. I will attach a few Pics of the beds I set up for my In Law's. (Ground not level, and you my not be able to see the drip but it's in there).
